Chhattisgarh Bans Offensive Book On Gond Tribe

Chhattisgarh tries to be saviour of Gond Culture - Chhattisgarh state government has completely banned sixth edition of B.A. first year RP unified geography book written by Dr. Harishankar Gupat and Dr Shivanand Gautam. The banned book includes the most objectionable and unfair words on 'Gond tribe'. All concerned have been notified of the ban.

Raipur 01 March 2009 - Gond tribe objectionable speech and use of words, Read in Hindi Gonda Janjati Apattijanak Vaktavya and Shabda Prayog lead to ban of a geography book in Chhattisgarh INdia. Dr. Harishankar Gupta and Dr. Shivanand Gautam authored book of BA first year course on subject RP Unified Geography in Hindi Bhugol or BhooGoala 6th edition has been banned completely by Chhattisgarh Government.

The Gonda Jan Jati Gond Tribe Book was published by M/S Ram Prasad & Sons of Bhopal and Agra written by Dr. Harishankar Gupta and Dr. Shivanand Gautam.

The books are available in CG market and colleges in Chhattisgarh
