Agriculture Production Commissioner Reviews Rabi Season

Raipur, In the current Rabi season 2009 till now upto December 9, 2009, Chhattisgarh area 857170 hectare has been sown. The sowing work is currently being done very fast.

Rabi crops Sowing target is 1,790,000 hectares in Chhattisgarh this year. This information came out in weekly review meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner, Mr Serjius Minj held in ministry at Raipur.

Chhattisgarh Agriculture Officials told in the review meeting that wheat cultivation target in this rabi season is ten thousand hectares more compared to last year's goal. Chhattisgarh Farmers in the area have so far sown 44 thousand hectares of wheat.
