Raipur, 01 May 2009 - Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce (Trading and Development) Co-operative Federation will auction in the coming days, about fifty thousand quintals of Chhattisgarh saal seeds costing five and a half crore, including remaining Chhattisgarh Tendu patta lots collected during the year 2007. In federation’s meeting under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Forest Minister, Mr Vikram Usendi held today in Ministry at Raipur this decision has been taken unanimously.

Saal Seed and Tendu Leaves or Bidi leaves (Diospyros melonoxylon) are collected by collectors living in forest area dwelling on the rates announced by Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Co-operative Federation. Department of Forest Secretary Shri Kaushlendra Singh and Minor Forest Produce Federation General Manager Shri AK Singh and concerned officials of Chhattisgarh Government Forest Department were present in the federation meeting.

Bids were invited for auction of saal seeds (Shorea robusta) acquired by collectors past year up to April 22. Consent has been given for the auction of 13 lots out of 23 different Lots in the federation meeting. Re-bids would be invited for remaining ten lots of saal seed. About Fifty thousand quintals saal seeds from approved 13 lots will be auctioned. It’s value has been fixed as Rs 5.5 crores.

The auction of the remaining amount of Tendu leaves collected in the year 2007, has also been decided in the meeting. The tendu leave left, could not be auctioned due to low rates received in the tenders invited.

In the meeting Forest Minister issued instructions to officers to take effective steps immediately to deal with the elephants’ attacks problem in North Eastern areas of Chhattisgarh state namely Surguja, Raigarh and Jashpur.

वन मंत्री श्री उसेंडी की अध्यक्षता में छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य लघु वनोपज संघ की बैठक में हुई सहमति
रायपुर, 01 मई 2009 - छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य लघु वनोपज (व्यापार एवं विकास) सहकारी संघ द्वारा आगामी दिनों में साढ़े पांच करोड़ रूपए के लगभग पचास हजार क्विंटल साल बीज सहित वर्ष 2007 में संग्रहित तेंदूपत्ते के बचे हुए लाटों की नीलामी की जाएगी। वन मंत्री श्री विक्रम उसेंडी की अध्यक्षता में आज मंत्रालय में आयोजित संघ की बैठक में सर्व सम्मति से यह निर्णय लिया गया है।

उल्लेखनीय है कि साल बीज एवं तेंदूपत्ता प्रदेश के वनांचलों में निवास करने वाले संग्राहकों द्वारा संग्रहित कर छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य लघु वनोपज संघ द्वारा घोषित दरों पर एकत्रित किया गया है। बैठक में सचिव वन श्री कौशलेन्द्र सिंह और लघु वनोपज संघ के महाप्रबंधक श्री ए.के. सिंह सहित वन विभाग के संबंधित अधिकारी भी उपस्थित रहे।

उल्लेखनीय है कि संग्राहकों से उपार्जित किए गए साल बीजों की नीलामी के लिए 22 अप्रैल तक निविदाएं आमंत्रित की गई थीं। बैठक में साल बीज के 23 अलग-अलग लाटों में से 13 लाटों की नीलामी के लिए सहमति दी गई है। बाकी बचे साल बीज के दस लाटों की नीलामी के लिए पुन: निविदाएं आमंत्रित की जाएगी। स्वीकृत 13 लाटों में लगभग पचास हजार क्विंटल साल बीज की नीलामी की जाएगी। इनका मूल्य साढ़े पांच करोड़ रूपए तय किया गया है।

बैठक में वर्ष 2007 में संग्रहित किए गए तेंदूपत्ते की बची हुई मात्रा को भी नीलाम करने के विषय में निर्णय लिया गया है। इसके लिए आमंत्रित की गई निविदाओं में मूल्य कम प्राप्त होने के कारण यह तेंदूपत्ता नीलामी से बच गया था।

बैठक में वन मंत्री ने राज्य के उत्तर पूर्वी इलाकों में व्याप्त हाथियों के आक्रमण की समस्या से निपटने के लिए तत्काल प्रभावी कदम उठाने के निर्देश भी अधिकारियों को दिए।
