Raipur, April 27, 2009 - Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr. Raman Singh has expressed deep grief at the sudden demise of the famous and popular Hindi film actor and producer-director Mr. Feroz Khan in Bengluru early morning today. Dr Singh, in a condolence message issued here at Raipur said that the passing away of Shri Feroze Khan is an end of Hindi cinema's most bright and brilliant era.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister said that late Shri Khan in almost 50 years of his long film career, achieved unbounded popularity through lively acting in many purposeful movies based on social issues and as the producer-director he provided to millions of viewers in Hindi cine-world a large number of good films too. Dr. Raman Singh expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family of late Mr. Feroze Khan and have prayed to God for the peace of departed soul.

Hindi News - मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रसिध्द फिल्म अभिनेता श्री फिरोज खान के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया - रायपुर, 27 अप्रैल 2009 - छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. रमन सिंह ने हिन्दी फिल्मों के प्रसिध्द और लोकप्रिय अभिनेता और निर्माता निर्देशक श्री फिरोज खान के आज तड़के बेंगलुरू में हुए आकस्मिक निधन पर गहरा दुख व्यक्त किया है। डॉ. सिंह ने यहां जारी शोक संदेश में कहा है कि श्री फिरोज खान के निधन से हिन्दी सिनेमा के एक अत्यंत सुनहरे और शानदार युग का अंत हो गया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्वर्गीय श्री खान ने लगभग 50 वर्षों के अपने लम्बे फिल्मी जीवन में जहां अनेक उद्देश्यपूर्ण सामाजिक विषयों पर आधारित फिल्मों में जीवंत अभिनय के जरिए अपार लोकप्रियता हासिल की, वहीं उन्होंने निर्माता निर्देशक के रूप में भी हिन्दी सिने-जगत के करोड़ों दर्शकों को बड़ी संख्या में अच्छी फिल्में भी दी। डॉ. रमन सिंह ने स्वर्गीय श्री फिरोज खान के शोक संतप्त परिवारजनों के प्रति अपनी गहरी संवेदना और सहानुभूति प्रकट करते हुए दिवंगत आत्मा की शांति के लिए ईश्वर से प्रार्थना की है।

Directorate of Film Festivals, Government of India has also expressed deep condolence on the demise of actor-producer-director Feroz Khan.

From his debut in Hindi film Didi (1960), Feroz Khan starred in a total of 47 films. In his death, the Hindi film industry has lost a rare actor who believed in re-inventing himself as he also forayed into direction, production and editing. During his lifetime, Feroz Khan directed seven films, produced six and was the film editor for two films. Feroz Khan would be particularly remembered for his acting in films such as Dharmatma (1975), Qurbani (1980) and Janbaaz (1986).
