Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh met, at his residence Mukhya Mantri Nivas Raipur Civil Lines, last night, Secunderabad Innova Children's Heart Hospital, Chief Pediatrics Cardiac Surgeon Dr. K. S. Murthy and provided consent on the proposal during the meeting expert doctor help to kids in need.

Dr. Murthy offered expert services of his organization to the implementation of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Child heart protection scheme.

Secretary to Chief Minster Shri K. Subramaniam and Director of Medical Education Dr Subir Mukherjee were also present in the meeting.

Dr. KS Murthy told Chief Minister that Innova Hospital specializes in the children's heart operation. The Innova hospital has completed more than 4000 successful children's heart operations. Innova’s CMD also gave a power point presentation before Chief Minister in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that Innova Hospital experts can be hired in the treatment of heart of those children who cannot be cured in Chhattisgarh under the child heart protection plan. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh told Innova CMD Dr. Murthy that so far more than 1600 sixteen hundred child’s heart operations have been successful done under child heart care plan run by Chhattisgarh Government locally.

Chief Minister Child cardiovascular protection scheme was introduced in Chhattisgarh state on 14 July 2008.

Free Cardiac Surgery For Kids -Under the scheme, free operation is done for heart disease of the heart of 1 – to 15 year old children. The full cost of operation is given by the Chhattisgarh State Government under the scheme to identified hospitals.

Chief Minister informed Dr. KS Murthy of Innova about the heart valve replacement apart from children's heart surgery under the child heart protection plan free of cost as the cardiac surgery cost is fully given by CG Govt. Above all the biggest feature of the scheme is no limit of the poverty line (garibi rekha) imposed.

Chhattisgarh State government provide for general or normal surgery operation maximum amount of INR 1.3 Lacs and in case of heart valve replacement with additional amount of Rs 50,000 rupees is given to hospital management.

Mukhyamantri Bal Hridaya Surakṣha Yojana allows 7 types of heart diseases for treatment free of cost.
