Commercialisation and entertainment : Must Read Every One

How much of commercialization? - It is the end of year and start of season of recognition and awards..We all look forward to new year and want to start it in happy note. This is also the time when artiste's year(or sometimes years') long efforts and hard work are awarded, recognised and celebrated..in short, season of awards.

So the season starts with film awards nites. We all look forward to witness such coverages. But this has become very disappointing and unhappy.Sanctity, correctness and originality of even award functions is also engulfed by TV rights being bought, too much media exposure and unnecessary urge to expose the sensations created during awards functions. These functions are telecast in no less dramatic way than a saas -bahu saga. If we compare old coverages with present ones,we would find that time has really changed.Commercialisation has engulfed everything even the emotions related to an artiste's work being appreciated.

Also in older days we used to wait and speculate who will be the winner of so and so award, but no surpises these days if you have gone through newspapers properly as even the LIVE awards nite is not available to viewers.

It is quite disgusting to find that viewers are given a sort of version created by TV channel of real awards nite that we dont know how it actually took place. We as poor viewers, instead of waiting for our favourite stars to perfom on stage, we find ourselves waiting to witness the spat that took place between a host and an artist.
Instead of taking interest in who should be the winner of such and such award, viewers caanot help but sulk in thinking and making an opinion about right and wrong between those two indulged in spat.
Thanks to TRP hungry channels that even preview of recorded awards nite is prepared in such poor light as if viewers were not going to witness an award function but a duel.

Most shocking and thought provoking things are comments made by host "dear pal, this is a TV show". A TV show...or award nite? I am sure that major chunk of viewers will buy my idea that presenters of an awards nite need to understand the difference between a TV show and an awards nite coverage.

I through my this blog want to convey to TV channels and scripters of the awards nite that please guys we want to witness healthy and happy awards nite covered on TV not a TV show made out of an awards nite.

Those who are so desperate to have fun at the cost of others' dignity and through cheap comments/jokes etc should keep these things for TV shows which are full of cheap jokes and imitation of personas of famous artistes . Please try to cover awards nite in such a manner that sanctity of thought behind an award nite is maintained. Before that it is a humble request to script writers of awards nites that it should be written like an awards nite coverage and not a gossip and comedy show which my idiot box is already full of.
