Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India - 11 May 2009 Culture Minister, Mr Brijmohan Agrawal expressed pleasure and congratulated Ritu Verma the famous Pandwani singer for selection in National Bismillah Khan Samman. Mr Agarwal said that Ms. Ritu Verma has practiceed singing of Pandwani from a young age. Their long-term art practice resulted in selection for National Bismillah Khan Samman (Felicitation). It is a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh. Mr Agarwal said that the traditional singing style of Chhattisgarh is getting respect through Ritu Verma.

रायपुर, 11 मई 2009 छत्तीसगढ़ के संस्कृति मंत्री श्री बृजमोहन अग्रवाल ने प्रसिध्द पंडवानी गायिका ऋतु वर्मा को राष्ट्रीय बिस्मिल्लाह खां सम्मान के लिए चुने जाने पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए उन्हें बधाई दी है। श्री अग्रवाल ने कहा है कि सुश्री ऋतु वर्मा ने कम उम्र से ही पंडवानी गायन की साधना की है। उनकी दीर्घ कला साधना के फलस्वरूप राष्ट्रीय स्तर के बिस्मिल्लाह खां सम्मान के लिए उनका चयन हुआ है। यह छत्तीसगढ़ के लिए गर्व की बात है। श्री अग्रवाल ने कहा कि ऋतु वर्मा के माध्यम से छत्तीसगढ़ की इस पारम्परिक गायन शैली को सम्मान मिल रहा है।
