Food now a right in Chhattisgarh

The winter session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly passed the Food Security Bill for the people of the state. Food becomes the right of a citizen of India residing in the state, as per the bill. Passing of this Bill makes Chhattisgarh a pioneer in this area, and will help fight malnutrition in the state. About forty five lakh people will be benefitted from the Bill and Chhattisgarh becomes the leader in welfare of its people.

Chhattisgarh representation in National Seminar on public distribution system scheduled on 8th and 9th February 2012 consist of two ministers.

The P.D.S. Seminar held in India Capital City New Delhi is being attended by All Food Ministers and Agriculture Ministers of India States.

Food Inspector Exam 2011 Document Verification

Raipur, 01 February 2012 –The Professional Examination Board of Indian State Chhattisgarh conducts a document test of Food Inspector Exam 2011 Selected Candidates on the 3rd Week of February 2012.

The February 08, 2012 and February 09, 2012 is the date when the documents submitted by the merit selected candidates of Food Inspector Exam 2011.

Document Verification is scheduled in two steps. The first lot of 15 Candidates’ document verification to be done on 08th February and in the same manner the Food Inspector selection documentations is to be checked for 38 Candidates on 9.02.2012.  Read Full Raipur Story »

65 Warehouse for Safe Grain Storage

Raipur - Under the Public Distribution System many warehouses of different-different capacities will built, under the Chhattisgarh State Government different schemes.

Chhattisgarh Grain Storage Warehouses Construction PhotoChhattisgarh Consumer Protection Minister Mr. Punnu Lal Mohile said that - "In last two year Chhattisgarh Government approved the construction of 65 Warehouses for safe grain storage in all Chhattisgarh.

The total capacity of warehouses for grain storage is more than 2 Lacs Metric Ton. 26 warehouses, which capacity is 1 lac 18 thousand metric ton, out of 65 grain storage warehouses approved at current financial year 2010-11."
