Chhattisgarh Chief Minister DR. Raman Singh visited famous Girodpuri, the seat of world tallest JaitKham (in construction) in Raipur District to attend the popular Guru Darshan Mela.

The annual fair is organised in honor of Satnami Guru Ghasidas the proponent of Satnam Panth. He also inspected and directed for proper public facility by Government at Girodpuri fair. The largest fair of Satnam sect is very crowd pulling annual fair which is mini trade fair also for local people.

Raipur, March 1, 2009 - Powerful Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today met devotees at Girod Puri the birth place and tapobhumi, Tenacity land of famous social reformer and founder of the Satnam cult Saint Guru Ghasidas.

Chief Minister Worshiped at the shrine of Baba Guru Ghasidas and offered prayer sought his blessings for prosperity and happiness for people of the state.

Dr. Raman visited Chhata Paharh for for a while which is a famous nearby mountain. The famous three-day long Guru Darshan fair of Girodpuri will last upto 3rd March.

The Chief Minister arrived on first day of fair and inspected, inquired for public convenience of pilgrims, people utility services made by various departments officials, issued the necessary instructions for smooth functioning of fair systems.

Satnam Panth The Truth Name Sect initiated by Baba Guru Ghasidas is very prominet state fair of India although it is officially not declared state fair but even in Madhya Pradesh era, then Chief Minister used to compulsarily visit Girod Puri Dham, near Kasdol of Raipur District.

Now Girod Puri Dham has very prominet upcoming feature a record breaking JaitKhan which is taller than Kutub Minar of India. So India JaitKham tower is a land mark in making. Satnamis are very strong community prominently in Chhattisgarh spread all over world.
