Ex Chhattisgarh state election commissioner Dr Sushil Trivedi said Habib Tanvir was democracy in theater. Urdu, Hindi playwrights, a theatre director, poet and actor Habib Tanvir discovered not only folk artists, but done full justice with their liberty, equality and talents.

Dr Sushil Trivedi was speaking in event organised by Rupak Natya Sanstha (theater organisation). The Raipur event was named as Habib Smriti (Memory Habib).

According to Mr. Trivedi Habib Tanvir brought global fame for Chhattisgarhi Nacha, a folk dance form of Chhattisgarh, a state of India. Habib Tanvir used naya Theater (The new theater) to materialise intangible to tangible, formless to realisation and supernatural to temporal.

The credit goes Habib Tanvir to create stage discipline, as per former CEC, Chhattisgarh.

Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication University Vice-Chancellor Sachchidanand Joshi was the chief guest of the program Habib Smriti. He said Habib Tanvir was stupendous theater artist. he smashed difference between performer and audience. Habib Tanvir thought the audience is also a part of play. That's why he administered fame to Nacha (dance form) not just in India but in Paris and Venice too. Mr. Joshi said that Habib Tanvir stood the Public Theatre before the elite stage. Habib Tanvir tried to think plays in terms of new vision.

Rajesh Ganoudwale, art critic shed light, in seminar, through his poems on the personality of Habib Tanvir and the new theater. On this occasion director Santosh Jain, theater artist Deepak and Poonam Tiwari and Kunj Bihari Sharma also spoke. In th Habib Smriti Program also released a calendar prepared by Rupak NGO Raipur.
