Chhattisgarh JUDO Strikes ends - After discussion with Chief Minister Chhattisgarh junior doctors' strike is over
Raipur, July 24, 2009 - Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has discussion with Chhattisgarh Junior Doctors at his residence (Chief Minister's House) here at Raipur late night today. The CM JUDO talk was on a cordial atmosphere.
The Chhattisgarh Junior Doctors Association (Judo) delegation meet with CG CM resulted in the end of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College at capital Raipur strike running for the past nine days announced.
The CG Chief Minister welcomed the end of JUDO strike and said the various demands of junior doctors will be considered seriously and sensitively.
The junior doctor were on movement strike was started from 16th of this months (16 July 2009). Judo delegation under the leadership of its president, Dr. Pushpendra Nayak and Dr. Vivek Agrawal Vice President met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.
Dr. Raman Singh has reacted positively on their demand which are
- To increase the scholarship - Agreed in policy and the CG Health Department proposal is being seriously considered.
- The Chief Minister said that the scholarship will be increased and definitely will be better than before.
- Keeping in mind the financial position of The State government, the positive decision will be taken soon in the interest of junior doctors.
- The Chief Minister told the delegation that the State Government is agree in theory to apply Chikitsak Sarnkshan Adhiniyam (doctor Protection Act or Medical Protection Act) in Chhattisgarh. The process of creating the act is going on. Very soon the appropriate decision will be taken about it.
The Chhattisgarh state government will take positive initiative to increase the Post Graduate seat in Anaesthesia (Nischetna) and Orthopedic Department of Medical College.
Dr. Raman Singh also said that seeing large number of patients in Ambedkar Hospital attacheed to Medical College, necessary action will be taken soon for upgradation of Raipur district hospital.
During the discussion of Dr. Raman Singh with junior doctors, the Department of Public Health and Medical Education Secretary, Mr Vikash Sheel, Medical College Dean (Adishtata) Dr. Subir Mukherjee, Joint Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh and Mr. Vikram Sisodia Visesh Kartavysth Adhikari (OSD officer on Special Duty), Junior Doctors Association Secretary, Dr. Anis Siddiki were present along with Dr. Pradeep Sharma, Dr. Kanvaljit and Dr. Vishal Jain.
