In Raipur the water supply used to be always a challenge and with changing times many augmentation to Raipur drinking water supply were made. For New Raipur Chhattisgarh State Government is going to adopt an indigenous water solution which is the Patented Phytorid Technology developed in India.

Phytorid Technology is work of National Environment Engineering Research Institute ( NEER) Mumbai a patented innovation used for the waste water recycling. Phytorid Technology is also used for development of wetland which in turn result in pollution free zone. Chhattisgarh capital, state of art New Raipur city will get benefit of it.

Naya Raipur aka New Raipur is the new state Capital of Chhattisgarh to be established in the outskirts of existing old Raipur city.

At Raipur Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Scientist made a presentation on phytorid Technology at a workshop organized jointely by Raipur development Authority (RDA) and Naya Raipur development Authority (NRDA) on 04 Nov 2009.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Scientist said that Phytorid technology uses green method, plantation to remove pollution and also stressed that it is natural technique for municipal and industrial waste water treatment.

Phytorid Technology recycled water is useful for horticulture work, gardening etc.
