Famous Jain Sadhvi Nipunashri dies at 83 in Raipur

Raipur, 09 November 2009 - Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh expressed deep grief over sudden demise of very famous (Suprasidh) Jain saint (Sadhvi) Nipunasri. Sadhvi Nipunasri heaven's passage was today morning at Raipur at the age of 83 years.

Jain Sadhvi Nipunashri took the final breath at Rishabh Dev Jain Svetambar Temple Upashray (Mahavir Bhavan) situated in Sadar Bazar Raipur. Raipur Sadar Bazaar is a prominent Jain Samaj area.

Chief Minister said in condolence message (Shraddhanjli Sandesh) Saint Nipunasri was born in sacred land of Gujarat and resided in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur for years, made her work place (Karmabhumi).

Sadhvi Nipunasri put her whole life to spread the great thoughts of Bhagwan Mahaveer Swami like truth, nonviolence, kindness, compassion and charity to people.

Jain Saint Nipunashri has a different kind of identity and dignity across the country including Chhattisgarh. According to Dr Raman Singh great personalities (vibhuti) are heritage of the entire human society beyond the boundaries of time and country and Saint Nipunasri was one of those great personalities.

Raipur also prays to god for peace of soul of the great saint Nipuna Shree.
