Rajiv Gandhi Anti Terrorism Day

Raipur, Chhattisgarh State will make the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi on 21 May 2010 as Anti Terrorism Day.

To create more awareness in Chhattisgarh socity about the problems to the common people and also the adverce consequence faced on the fronts of national intrestes due to terrorism and violence, it has been decided to observe Anti-Terrorism Day with the objective of further strengthning the national unity and integrity.

The officials and other employees would tha oath to fight against the forces destructive to human values; to opposed terroism and voilence and to maintain peace, harmony and understanding among all sections of the socity, in all the governmentoffices, public sector under takings and other such organisation at 11 am on the day. General administration department of the State Government has issued circular in this regard.

Rajiv Gandhi Anti Terrorism Day is also suggested in the circular that debates and symposium can also be collages and universities. Also symposiums, seminars and lectures can be organised about the danger in terrorism and violence. Creating public awarness through posters, pamphlets, Akashwani, Doordarshan, Newspaper and other news mediums can also be done.

Through the electronic and print media, eminent personalities frome sport, films and other fields can also be associated with the campaign T- sharts carriying inspiring slogans aganist terriorism and violence can also be distbuted.
